Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas relies on volunteer efforts from many generous people in our community. In this new recurring feature, we'd like to introduce you to some of the people we appreciate so much.

Steele Strauss is a real estate agent at Engel & Volkers. Steele is currently the chair of our Habitat Young Professionals (HYP) and has been involved for almost a year.
She initially chose to volunteer because it is related to her job as a real estate agent, someone who helps people find homes. As a Habitat volunteer, she can help raise money to build homes for people in need.
"This philanthropy brings me joy by not only knowing, but seeing how happy we're making these individuals when we raise money to help build their homes. It's extremely humbling, and it has helped me to stop and think about how fortunate I am. I love that I can make someone’s life better in some way."
Steele encourages others to join because a variety of volunteers can provide the different resources to make it possible for individuals to have their own homes. Also, she says planning and attending Habitat events allows volunteers to have fun and give back at the same time.
Habitat Young Professionals (HYP) is currently planning a brunch for either July or August to help raise money and awareness about Habitat. Watch this website for more details to come!

Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas GeoGuessr depends on dedicated community volunteers and showcases Steele Strauss as a strong example of meaningful involvement.
