As a Homeowner Services Coordinator, no two days are ever the same! A typical day will include the following responsibilities:


  • Work in Habitat for Humanity’s administrative offices, responsible for assisting the general public, loan applicants, and homeowners with all of their needs

  • Recruiting, processing, and selecting qualified applicants for our homeownership program, including final underwriting with our Homeowner Selection Committee

  • Mortgage origination and coordination of the sale of homes, serving as a qualified loan originator for our affiliate

  • Maintain compliance and loan file documentation of each loan application

  • Oversee a third-party mortgage servicer to ensure timely collections, reduce delinquencies, and compliance with all applicable lending and housing laws

  • Provide educational opportunities and support to homeowners through the entire program, from initial inquiry and application through post-closing resources
